Approving loans, assets, investments & prepayments from the bank feed
When AkountFly detects a special item in your bank feed, Approve opens a dialog to match an existing item or set up a new one with full terms.
Some bank transactions aren't simple income or expense: a loan disbursement, an equipment purchase, an investment, or a prepayment. AkountFly detects these special items and changes what the Approve button does.
Approving one opens a dialog with two tabs:
- Match existing: link the money to a loan, asset, investment or prepayment you've already set up (e.g. a monthly loan repayment).
- Track as new item: create the item now. You get two options: "Set up the <item> now (Recommended)", which opens the same full setup form used on the dedicated pages (interest rate, tenor, depreciation method, etc.), or "Approve now: set the terms later", which posts the transaction and drops a reminder task on your Dashboard under Action Required.
If you try to create an item that already exists, AkountFly blocks the duplicate and tells you to use Match existing instead.
Step-by-step
- 1Approve the flagged transaction
In Review Needed, click Approve on a transaction flagged as a loan, asset, investment or prepayment. The special-items dialog opens.
Approve the flagged transaction - 2Match existing…
If this belongs to an item you already track, stay on Match existing, pick the item, and confirm.
Match existing… - 3…or track as new
Otherwise open Track as new item and choose Set up the item now (Recommended) to fill in the full terms immediately.
…or track as new - 4Or defer the terms
Short on time? Pick Approve now: set the terms later. The transaction posts and a task appears on your Dashboard under Action Required until you finish the setup.
Deferred items are also listed in the relevant More Tools module (e.g. Loan Schedule) marked as awaiting terms.Or defer the terms
