Understanding the bank sync status banner
One banner at the top of Transactions tracks each sync from fetching to AI processing to done.
When AkountFly pulls new transactions from your bank, a single status banner at the top of the AI Bank Transactions Center tracks the whole pipeline: fetching from the bank, importing, then AI categorisation.
The banner updates in place as the sync progresses and disappears when everything is processed. If a stage fails (for example your bank session expired), the banner tells you exactly what to do next: usually a re-authorisation via the Update bank transactions button.
Large syncs (hundreds of transactions or several months of backlog) can take a few minutes in the AI stage; you can keep working elsewhere and come back.
Step-by-step
- 1Trigger or wait for a sync
Syncs run automatically on a schedule, or on demand via Update bank transactions under a connected bank.
Trigger or wait for a sync - 2Watch the banner
The banner shows the current stage and progress. New transactions land in the Review Needed tab as they're categorised.
Watch the banner - 3Act on failures
If the banner reports a failure, follow its call-to-action: most commonly reconnecting the bank.
See "My bank feed hasn't updated in days" in Troubleshooting if syncs keep stalling.
