Learn the essential steps to set up your AkountFly account efficiently.
Onboarding with AkountFly is quick and ensures your account is ready for accurate reporting from the start.
Business Profile: Provide your legal name, country, currency, and fiscal year start. Your country selection determines applicable tax rules.
Accounting Start Date: Choose the date from which you'll track finances in AkountFly. Transactions before this date require opening balances.
Opening Balances: Input balances for assets and liabilities as of your start date. If there are none, you can dismiss the reminder.
Business Tax Profile: Answer a few questions to establish your tax obligations, such as VAT registration and employer status.
Card Capture: A card is required to continue after the 7-day trial. You can update card details anytime in Settings → Payments.

Give your business a name, pick the industry, and choose your country: the country sets your ledger currency and tax rules.

Select the date to begin tracking your financials.

Record balances for each account as of your start date. If none, select 'I do not have any opening balance'.
