Create a rule to auto-categorise repeating transactions
Use Make Rule on any transaction so future matches are categorised automatically.
If the same kind of transaction keeps arriving: bank charges, a monthly subscription, salary payments. Teach AkountFly once with a rule.
On any row or card in the AI Bank Transactions Center, open the actions and choose Make Rule. The rule captures the matching pattern (contact/description text and direction) and the category to apply. Future transactions that match are categorised automatically, so they sail through review.
Step-by-step
- 1Pick a good example
Find a transaction that repeats regularly and open its ⋯ actions menu on the row.
Pick a good example - 2Click Make this a rule
Choose Make this a rule from the menu. AkountFly instantly creates a rule from this transaction's counterparty/description pattern and its category.
Click Make this a rule - 3Manage rules in Train AI
From the next sync, matching transactions skip AI and arrive pre-categorised. Review or remove rules any time in the Train AI tab.
Rules work best on stable narrations: trim volatile parts like dates or reference numbers from the match text.Manage rules in Train AI
