Reconnect or re-authorise your bank connection
How to refresh an expired bank link using Update bank transactions — often without re-entering credentials.
Bank connections use secure sessions that occasionally expire (banks force this for safety). When that happens, syncs stop and AkountFly asks you to re-authorise.
Go to Transactions and click Update bank transactions under the affected bank. If your session is still valid, AkountFly refreshes it silently and starts a sync — no forms. If not, you're redirected to the secure provider window (e.g. Mono) to approve access again; you're brought straight back afterwards and the sync resumes.
Your data and history are untouched by re-authorisation — it only renews permission to fetch new transactions.
Step-by-step
- 1Open Transactions
Go to Transactions in the sidebar (the AI Bank Transactions Center).
Open Transactions - 2Click Update bank transactions
Find the connected bank and click its Update bank transactions button.
- 3Approve if asked
If redirected to the provider (e.g. Mono), sign in and approve. You'll return to AkountFly automatically and the sync banner will appear.
No new transactions after reconnecting? Give it a few minutes, then check the sync status banner for errors.
